Fashionista Jenn: Satchel Purse or Satchel Paige?

This post was inspired by legends; at least legends in my eyes. If you know me at all you know that I'm a born and raised a Yankees fan. In my list of heroes there are fashion Gods and then there are baseball Gods. From the Great Bambino himself all the way to my favorite Yankee of all time Derek Jeter, these men have inspired me for years in their dedication to their craft. Today's post features me standing in front of Satchel Paige's mural right outside of the New York Yankee stadium. Leroy "Satchel" Paige was a Hall of Fame African American pitcher who played in both the Negro and Major Leagues. Joe DiMaggio once called Paige, "the best and fastest pitcher I've ever faced." Today's outfit coincides with the great satchel himself. I'm sporting one of my fave new pieces, my plum leather satchel from Richmond's Lou Lou boutique (compliments of Austin). This purse inspired the theme of my whole outfit. Pinks and purples are my favorite shades but you rarely see me sporting them. But today's pink and purple combo was priceless.
