Thoughts of VOGUE

Happy November Fashionistas! It has been almost two weeks since I have been on the blog. But don't fear What to Wear Wednesday is still here! Today's look was inspired by a more mature look. It's pencil skirts and cashmere sweaters galore! Speaking of mature, last week I had to make a mature decision myself; maybe one of the biggest mature decisions I'll ever have to make in my fashion career. As this is a blog where I share with my readers my journey in the fashion industry I thought this would be a good time to share an experience that happened to me last Monday. I applied at a position at VOGUE and got a response within 20 minutes to come into an interview the next day. Unfortunately I was able to attend the interview because most likely they needed someone immediately and because of finishing out this semester at my university I wouldn't be to try for such a position currently. I had many people in my ear saying a million girls would kill just to have an interview with VOGUE and school will always be there. But I'm here to tell you that they aren't a million girls like me and that is most likely why they were initially interested. I make my own opportunities and great things come to those who wait, even if it may be for VOGUE. An education should always be a fashionista's first priority and I will continue to work hard and stay on a career path I planned and worked so hard for. I'm deciding to write my own story and I can do anything that my hard work and dedication allows. I hope this inspires you to keep following your dreams and know that they are not too far. Continue to make your own path and remember to know what is truly important...all the pieces shall fall into place!

  1. Maybe you should apply for an internship since they were interested in you. I think you made the right decision and I'm sure more opportunities will come your way.
